We are looking for you as a Service Technician (f/m/d) for our location in Kassel as soon as possible.

Your role at Alstom - What you can do with us

A total of more than 35,000 locomotives have already been transported from Kassel into the world: at the traditional Alstom site in Kassel, in addition to the new building, the service for the well-known Traxx locomotive platform is playing an increasingly important role. The Corporate Functions make a significant contribution to supporting and continuously expanding the performance of our locations. In this role, you will report to Marc Oliver Smit and work in a motivated and committed team.

Your tasks:

Work under the direction and in collaboration with the team leaders and production management
On-time execution of work at frequently changing maintenance and repair locations within Germany
Careful processing of specified work content in accordance with documented maintenance schedules and work instructions. In this context, plants and systems are started, functions are tested, adjusted and documented in protocols according to specifications
Schedule or have parts and materials, tools and other aids made available according to the needs of the various maintenance activities, independently check for correctness and completeness
Hotline support with remote fault diagnosis and assistance to the customer for further operation
If malfunctions, damage and other corrective services are detected, carry out analysis and replace parts or modules or make correction settings based on characteristic values to ensure the proper and safe condition for the continued operation of the rail vehicle
Understand and follow work instructions, standard operating sheets, and task sequencing
Support secondary troubleshooting as needed
Use work-related IT systems as needed, including MMIS/SES, to record the progress of operations and the status of issues.
Collect and report
Accurately report the status of operations, complete checklists and work orders with the required level of detail, including completion time

Your profile - What makes you stand out for the job

Be willing to learn (start additional 'training' in other skills and perform tasks, e.g. forklifting, driving a road vehicle (if certified), participating in missions and breakdowns when needed
Understand and comply with safety instructions, rules and regulations, and follow safe working practices that meet local standards
At least 3 years of subject-specific vocational training must be proven
In addition, at least 2 years of specialist training is required, preferably in the field of rail vehicle technology
Driving licence class B required
Willingness to travel
Good knowledge of English
