The Opportunity

As a Senior Scientist joining the Process Development team within Recombinant Product Development, you will be responsible for the development of state-of-the-art protein purification processes for different recombinant products in accordance with the requirements for Good Scientific Practice (GSP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

The Role

In this role, your main responsibility is to plan, perform, evaluate and document downstream protein purification experiments according to current scientific rationale and regulatory / internal guidelines and quality standards.
Ensure accurate and precise data acquisition, collation and analyses for all protein purification activities using statistical tools such as DoE concepts and risk-based approaches such as QbD concepts.
Actively seek new opportunities and manage the establishment of new technology and new systems for the purification of recombinant therapeutic proteins.
You will be responsible for being the technical lead in operational and organizational collaborations with other departments and external partners.
You must be a strong team player openly sharing expertise with other stakeholders in a global, fast-paced and highly matrixed work environment.

Your Skills and Experience:

University Degree in a relevant field of Science (e.g. Master of Science in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, process engineering)
Professional experience in relevant technical methods (especially regarding protein purification) and project management
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
1-3 years of relevant post graduate experience
