The Opportunity

We are seeking an R&D Business Operations Specialist to join our Enabling Technology Team within Strategic Operations. Reporting to the Sr. Director Enabling Technology, this role will be based in Marburg but actively collaborating with all R&D Sites and functions as well as with Finance, I&T and Procurement.-. The successful candidate will support the delivery of accurate budget control, purchasing, and contracting support to allow the R&D organization to manage efficiently their Digital Portfolio. Key responsibilities include assisting in the budget creation, analyzing and interpreting data, managing the software licensing process and more. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Business Administration with focus on financial controlling and a minimum of 2 years of experience in finance-related work

The Role

Your main responsibility will be to work closely with all R&D Teams and I&T to support budget oversight for digital investments, correct reporting of actuals, and integrity of software license management
Another focus for you will be to assist in the OpEX & CapEX budget creation utilizing optimized budgeting tools
You will collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure a smooth sourcing process, including preparing purchase orders, tracking invoices, and maintaining an overview of spend over time
As an expert in the field you will develop and implement globally aligned reporting and budget/forecasting activities across all relevant cost centers
You will support teams in preparing purchase orders, tracking of invoices and maintaining an overview of spend over time and recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses

Your Skills and Experience:

University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Controlling (B.Sc)
1-3 years of experience in finance/budget analysis and extensive experience in procurement & contracting processes,
Commitment to working in a global environment
Excellent SAP and Excel skills
Excellent English Skills
