Job description

Black Amber Digital GmbH is looking for an experienced 3D Artist to work on various tasks including modeling, texturing, material setup and scene layouts directly in UE5. The ideal candidate shows a strong understanding of high quality asset creation and outstanding presentation skills. You will be working closely together with Technical Artists, Cinematic Artists and the Director to push the visual and technical quality to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Development of high-quality AAA assets in a photo realistic art style.
• Balance quality and efficiency of work to gain the best possible results within the given time frame and technical constraints.
• Ability to skillfully optimise 3D assets to game-ready quality.
• Ensure performance and technical quality of all 3D assets.
• Collaborate closely with Artists and the Director.
• Tweaking and adjusting shaders by developing own materials.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of game engine workflows using Unreal Engine.
• Previous experience creating high-quality 3D assets for AAA games.
• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine’s material and shading workflows.
• Knowledge of Painter, Zbrush, Maya (or other DCC) and Photoshop.
• Passion for pushing the state of the art in real-time visual quality.
• High degree of self-motivation and initiative.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written.

Pluses

• Experience with Unreal Engine’s sequencer.
• Experience with offline rendering pipelines.
