Als CFO und Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung übernehmen Sie die Verantwortung für die finanzielle Stabilität und Weiterentwicklung der GBG Forschungs GmbH.

Ihre Mission

In enger und vertrauensvoller Zusammenarbeit mit der CEO und dem Geschäftsleitungsteam übersetzen Sie die Unternehmensstrategie in eine langfristige, zukunftsorientierte Finanzplanung - und schaffen damit die Grundlage für wirtschaftliches Wachstum bei wissenschaftlicher Exzellenz.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Leitung und Weiterentwicklung der Finanzabteilung (4 Mitarbeitende); bei Eignung und Interesse zusätzlich Verantwortung für den IT-Bereich (3 Mitarbeitende)
• Gesamtverantwortung für Accounting, (Projekt-)Controlling, Budgetierung und Cash Management
• Erstellung von Monats- und Jahresabschlüssen, Monatsberichten und Forecasts
• Überführung der Rechnungslegung von HGB auf IFRS
• Entwicklung und Implementierung eines digitalen Controlling- und Konsolidierungstools für ein modernes, effizientes Finanzmanagement
• Aufbau und Überwachung aussagekräftiger KPIs als Entscheidungsgrundlage für das Management
• Verantwortung für Treasury, Cash & Liquidity Management einschließlich Investitionsplanung
• Ansprechpartner für Geschäftsleitung, Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater, Shareholder und Behörden
• Steuerung der Corporate-Finance-Aktivitäten und strategischen Finanzprojekte

Was Sie mitbringen

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Betriebswirtschaft, VWL oder eines verwandten Fachgebiets
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Finanzwesen sowie im Aufbau und in der Leitung von Finanzteams, idealerweise in agilen, dynamischen Unternehmensstrukturen, verbunden mit Freude an einer mittelständischen Unternehmenskultur.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in HGB- und IFRS-Bilanzierung, Konsolidierung und Finanzplanung
• Ausgezeichnete Excel-Kenntnisse, insbesondere im Umgang mit komplexen Formeln und Pivot-Tabellen, um komplexe Datenanalysen erstellen zu können
• Idealerweise Erfahrung in der Implementierung moderner Controlling-Tools (z. B. LucaNet, Jedox)
• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten, lösungsorientiertes und prozessuales Denken
• Hands-on-Mentalität und Bereitschaft, operative und strategische Themen gleichermaßen zu gestalte
• Freude an der Arbeit im Team und Bereitschaft zum Lernen und zur persönlichen Weiterentwicklung
• Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Deutsch und Englisch
• Integrität, Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Freude an interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit
• Integrität und ethisches Verhalten in allen Geschäftsangelegenheiten

Your role

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial stability and further development of GBG Forschungs GmbH.

Your mission

Working closely with the CEO and management team, you will translate the corporate strategy into long-term financial planning, thereby laying the foundation for economic growth and scientific excellence.

Your tasks

• Management and further development of the finance department (4 employees). If suitable and interested, additional responsibility for the IT department (3 employees).
• Overall responsibility for accounting, project controlling, budgeting and cash management.
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, monthly reports and forecasts
• Transfer accounting from HGB to IFRS.
• Development and implementation of a digital controlling and consolidation tool for modern, efficient financial management.
• Establishment and monitoring of meaningful KPIs to inform management decisions
• Responsibility for treasury, cash and liquidity management, including investment planning.
• Acting as a point of contact for management, auditors, tax advisors, shareholders and authorities.
• Managing corporate finance activities and strategic finance projects

What you bring to the table

• Successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
• Several years' experience in finance, ideally in agile, dynamic corporate structures, and in building and managing finance teams. An enjoyment of a medium-sized corporate culture is also required.
• In-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting, consolidation and financial planning
• Excellent Excel skills, particularly in using complex formulas and pivot tables to create detailed data analyses.
• Ideally, you will have experience in implementing modern controlling tools (e.g. LucaNet, Jedox).
• Strong analytical skills and a solution- and process-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to contribute to operational and strategic issues in equal measure.
• Enjoy working in a team and be willing to learn and develop personally.
• Very good communication skills in German and English.
• Integrity, a sense of responsibility, and an enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
